London Teeth Whitening
Teeth Whitening London
Regardless of how well you care for your teeth, it is inevitable that, over time, teeth darken. This gradual change can be caused by natural aging, substances that stain your teeth (such as coffee and tobacco), or the deterioration of a tooth.
Modern technology offers patients teeth whitening without harmful side effects. We offer the state of the art whitening system that can safely and effectively whiten your teeth. It can be performed either in the practice or at home.
Teeth whitening treatments are the most popular cosmetic dental procedures and have been performed successfully on millions of patients; it can be performed either in the practice or at-home.
In Surgery Whitening
We use the latest and most advanced process available. This treatment involves coating the teeth with whitening gel. When the Thermal Diffuser technology is applied to this gel, the tooth takes on a whiter appearance. This takes approximately an hour.
At-home Whitening
The alternative is At–home whitening, the most popular option. During your visit, we will take a mould of your teeth and then create a comfortable, customized tray. The tray, which holds a whitening solution, is placed inside the mouth, and sits only against the teeth, thereby avoiding contact with the gums. The tray is worn for around an hour each day for a week or two but possibly longer if your teeth are a darker shade to begin with.
What are the Possible Side Effects?
During Whitening treatment your teeth may feel a heightened, but temporary, sensitivity. The gums may also feel more sensitive for a short period. We will ensure this is minimised by recommending products to be used alongside the Whitening treatment.
Whitening treatments may fade, but a whitening top-up is available. It should be noted that teeth Whitening treatments (In Practice or At Home) have no effect on the artificial materials, like fillings, veneers, or crowned teeth and so replacement of restorations may be required to match your new tooth colour.
